The everyday background sounds of the city rapidly transformed into absolute terror when observers heard a loud explosion which led them to watch the helicopter’s sudden split followed by its crash into Hudson River waters.
The Internet remains stunned by the revelation of the pilot responsible for the fatal helicopter crash.
Navy SEAL veteran Sean Johnson steered the Bell 206 aircraft during flight before it fractured while he was at the controls on April 10 at age 36.
The accident struck at 3:17 p.m. and killed every person aboard the helicopter together with Johnson as well as five members of a Spanish touring family in New York City for a birthday celebration.
