New Angle, New Trouble: Viral Coldplay Couple Filmed Getting Cozy Before Kiss Cam

What seemed like a fleeting, awkward moment on the jumbotron is now turning into something much deeper and far more scandalous.

A newly surfaced video of the infamous Coldplay Kiss Cam couple has offered a fresh, more intimate perspective.

The clip reveals that the pair Andy Byron, former CEO of AI firm Astronomer, and his colleague Kristin Cabot, the company’s HR chief, were already entangled in a romantic embrace long before the camera ever found them.

The video, obtained by TMZ, shows the duo standing close, arms wrapped around each other, swaying affectionately to Coldplayโ€™s song Yellow.

The concert at Gillette Stadium was packed with fans waving phones in the air. But what this footage captured from behind their seats wasnโ€™t just a public display of affection. It was something more revealing.

“They were all over each other even when they weren’t on the kiss-cam,” TMZ reported.

“This rear-view shows a much more intimate interaction,” the outlet added.

Their relaxed, carefree demeanor as they hugged and kissed made it clear. This wasnโ€™t just a spontaneous act brought on by music and mood. This moment seemed practiced. Comfortable. Familiar.

Then came the broadcast.

When Coldplay frontman Chris Martin saw them on the big screen, he joked to the crowd,

โ€œTheyโ€™re either having an affair or theyโ€™re very shy.โ€

That single remark sparked an online firestorm. As the camera zoomed in, Byron quickly dropped his arm and ducked behind a railing, while Cabot covered her face and hid behind another woman. The woman beside them, who also looked visibly embarrassed, was initially thought to be another employee, but Astronomer later denied this.

In the days that followed, Byron was placed on leave, along with Cabot, as Astronomer launched an internal investigation. But the damage had already been done.

On July 19, Byron officially resigned from his position as CEO of the billion-dollar tech company. In a statement, the company said:

“Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability, and recently, that standard was not met. Andy Byron has tendered his resignation, and the Board of Directors has accepted.”

Pete DeJoy, co-founder and Chief Product Officer, has since stepped in as interim CEO.

While the workplace repercussions were swift, it was their personal lives that unraveled the most dramatically.

Byronโ€™s wife, Megan Kerrigan, reportedly deleted family photos from her Facebook and dropped her husbandโ€™s surname from her online profiles. Moments once proudly displayed, hiking with their sons and celebrating graduations, vanished.

Cabotโ€™s situation was no less complicated. She is currently married to Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum, a Massachusetts-based liquor company.

The couple had recently purchased a $2.2 million home in Rye, New Hampshire. Records show that Kristin, whose maiden name is Stanek, sold another multimillion-dollar property earlier this year while still married.

Andrew Cabot has been married at least twice before and shares two children with his first wife, who ironically shared a photo last year of Andrew and Kristin looking affectionate at a birthday party for their daughter.

Now, with this newly released video, the kiss cam incident has taken on a whole new meaning. It wasn’t a surprise moment between colleagues caught up in the magic of a concert.

It was a public glimpse into what appears to be a full-blown affair, played out for millions on a stadium screen.

And as it turns out, the camera didnโ€™t catch the beginning of the story. It caught the middle of one.
