South Park Creator Reacts after White House Blasts Episode over Trump joke

South Park has built a reputation for poking fun at anyone in the spotlight, but its latest episode has stirred up more backlash than most. Season 27 opened with a bold storyline that placed Donald Trump in one of the showโ€™s most controversial moments yet.

The episode showed a naked Trump slipping into bed beside a hulking red Satan, hinting at something more than a friendly encounter. His animated character whispered,

โ€œCome on Satan, Iโ€™ve been working hard all day,โ€

Only to be flatly rejected in a scene that immediately went viral.

The White House wasted no time in responding. Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers blasted the show, saying,

โ€œThis show hasnโ€™t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas.โ€

He also accused the political left of hypocrisy for applauding South Park after years of calling it offensive.

Instead of backing down, Trey Parker, the showโ€™s co-creator, addressed the uproar at San Diego Comic-Con. Standing on stage, he delivered a dry, sarcastic line:

โ€œWeโ€™re terribly sorry.โ€

Then stared silently at the crowd for an uncomfortably long moment, leaving the room laughing.

Parker later revealed censors almost blurred the infamous scene but he refused, explaining that they even gave the animated pen!s googly eyes to make it an intentional gag.

Despite the outrage, South Park isnโ€™t slowing down. With a billion-dollar deal for new episodes in place and a production cycle built to respond within days, the creators seem unfazed by the backlash โ€” and fans are already wondering how far the next punchline will go.
