The simulation was then enlarged up to six feet, depicting cars drifting away. Structures begin to crumble, and chemicals combine with floodwater.
When the water level exceeds nine feet, the first floors are flooded. There are few safe places left for those caught in such risky situations.
Meteorologist Jordan Steele reiterated the warnings in his message. “It’s going to be nasty. This thing will carry you away,” he stated.
Waves and whitecaps are predicted to form inland, increasing dangers. The graphics show how powerful the storm surge might get.
John Cangialosi, a weather scientist, offered a terrible warning. His words were: “Milton has the potential to be one of the most destructive.”
The Tampa Mayor, Jane Castor, expressed her worries to people. She warned that higher stories and attics may not be secure.
Some regions could see a startling 15-foot flood surge. This height is higher than a double-decker bus, posing serious safety risks.
