As a member of One Direction, Payne reached the pinnacle of worldwide recognition.
The ensemble ranks among the most successful boy bands ever, boasting over 70 million records sold globally.

Following a successful period from 2010 to 2016, the group revealed plans for an indefinite break, prompting each member to pursue individual careers..
In 2017, he made his solo debut with “Strip That Down” featuring Migos member Quavo, achieving a top 10 spot in the United States and reaching No. 3 in his home country, the U.K.
His debut album “LP1” was released in December 2019 and achieved a remarkable No. 17 position in the U.K. charts. Earlier this year, he released his latest single “Teardrops,” along with an acoustic version.
Payne candidly shared his battles with alcohol and feelings of despair, revealing that he had achieved over three months of sobriety just last year.

“I’ve been sober for more than 100 days now,” he shared with IFL TV. “I feel incredible, I feel truly fantastic and the backing from the supporters has been outstanding, so I’m extremely pleased.”
