Amber Heard has been keeping a low profile in recent years, trading flashing cameras and film sets for a quieter, more private life far away from Los Angeles.
Following her explosive legal battle with ex-husband Johnny Depp, the 39-year-old actress made a bold decision to walk away from the chaos and rebuild from scratch.
She sold her California home for around $1.1 million and quietly relocated to Spain, a move that many of her followers first speculated about when she began posting scenic photos from European locations.

But life in Spain wasn’t just a temporary getaway.
Heard has since welcomed twins, a daughter named Agnes and a son named Ocean, joining her first child, Oonagh Paige, born in 2021. She made the announcement on Mother’s Day 2025, saying,
“Today I officially share the news that I welcomed twins into the Heard gang. My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full.”
The actress is believed to still reside in Madrid, where she is raising her children away from the public eye. Locals and fans were surprised to learn that she now goes by the name Martha Jane Cannary, the real name of American sharpshooter Calamity Jane.

Despite stepping back from the Hollywood machine, Heard hasn’t abandoned the arts altogether.
In a surprising career twist, she recently made her professional stage debut in a bilingual play titled Spirit of the People at the Williamstown Theatre Festival. The play, performed partially in Spanish—a language Heard now speaks fluently—marked her transition into theater.
She posted photos on Instagram after the show’s final weekend, smiling amid bouquets of flowers and writing,
“The flowers won’t last forever but the memories of all the love and support I received through this, will.”
Critics were quick to applaud her performance. Vanity Fair described her presence on stage as powerful, noting:

“Amber Heard’s command of the stage [was] exceptional… she embodies the fragility and resilience of a classic Tennessee Williams heroine.”
Fans echoed the praise online, with one saying,
“Congratulations on an incredibly successful run with your play! It was an honor to see you perform.”
What many believed was a full exit from show business has instead become a quiet reinvention. Heard has turned her focus from film to live performance, carving a new artistic path on her own terms.
Her return to the spotlight wasn’t a red carpet moment—it was a standing ovation.
