Amber Heard marked Mother’s Day 2025 with a stunning and deeply personal revelation she is now a proud mother of three.
The 39 year old actress took to Instagram on May 11 to announce that she has welcomed twins, a baby girl and a baby boy, completing what she describes as her “dream family.”
The Aquaman star shared a touching image of the newborns’ tiny feet, posting an emotional caption that immediately captured global attention.
“Mother’s Day 2025 will be one I’ll never forget,” she began. “This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years.”
In the post, Amber introduced her two new arrivals by name Agnes and Ocean and revealed how motherhood continues to transform her life.
“My daughter Agnes and my son Ocean are keeping my hands (and my heart) full,” she wrote. “When I had my first baby girl Oonagh four years ago, my world changed forever. I thought I couldn’t possibly burst with more joy. Well, now I am bursting times three.”
Amber’s first child Oonagh Paige was born in April 2021 via surrogate, a choice the actress previously described as both radical and freeing. At the time, she expressed her desire to become a mother on her own terms, challenging traditional expectations placed on women.
“Becoming a mother by myself and on my own terms despite my own fertility challenges has been the most humbling experience of my life,”
she explained in the post.
“I am eternally grateful that I was able to choose this responsibly and thoughtfully.”
Her heartfelt message continued
“To all the moms, wherever you are today and however you got here, my dream family and I are celebrating with you. Love always, A x.”
While Heard has maintained a low profile in recent years, living a quieter life in Madrid, Spain following her highly publicized legal battle with Johnny Depp, her latest post proves she is still full of surprises.
A spokesperson for Heard also confirmed the happy news to PEOPLE stating
“Amber is delighted to welcome the twins and complete her family. Mama and babies are enjoying every minute. And Oonagh is happily running the show.”
This announcement marks her first Instagram update in a year, with her previous post celebrating her 38th birthday in April 2024. Now, with the arrival of her twins, it seems Amber is embracing this new chapter with open arms and an even fuller heart.
Her decision to grow her family continues to echo her earlier sentiments about womanhood and independence. In a 2021 post, she wrote
“I hope we arrive at a point in which it’s normalized to not want a ring in order to have a crib.”
