In a time when partners seek distinctive methods to connect, the unconventional approach of one couple is capturing interest. A mother of three from the United States has shared a personal choice that has profoundly influenced her marriage and her husband’s well-being.

Rachel Bailey, 30, and her husband Alexander, also 30, embarked on this unique adventure in 2017. What began as a straightforward remedy for breastfeeding discomfort has transformed into a more profound experience.

During a family cruise, Rachel, who was nursing their second child, experienced over-lactation. “I forgot my breast pump and was badly engorged for two days,” Rachel explained.

In a bid to relieve her pain, Alexander stepped in with an unexpected solution. “We decided that my husband was going to try drinking the milk to relieve me,” she said.

IAt first, Rachel and Alexander felt apprehensive about the concept. “We had some apprehensions about him breastfeeding from me, but once we tried it, we discovered it was completely fine,” she shared.

Rachel expressed that the moment Alexander latched on brought her an overwhelming sense of relief. What started as a way to ease discomfort evolved into something far more impactful.

The couple quickly realized that breastfeeding enhanced their connection. “It fostered a unique connection between us, one that we wouldn’t have experienced had we not embarked on this journey,” Rachel remarked.

Alexander also observed surprising advantages to his health. Rachel asserted that her husband has not experienced a cold in more than two years since he started consuming her breast milk.

Additionally, people began to compliment Alexander on his improved skin. “So many people said his skin was so much better too,” Rachel said, emphasizing the benefits of breast milk.

As their comfort with the practice grew, it became a regular part of their routine. Alexander would drink Rachel’s breast milk three to four times a day.

Rachel cherished the quality time they spent together during these moments. “I love breastfeeding him as it allows us to spend quality time together,” she shared.

Breastfeeding even became part of their daily meals. “I would breastfeed him at breakfast, lunch, and dinner,” Rachel explained.

However, as Rachel’s milk production decreased, so did the frequency of breastfeeding. “I’m only breastfeeding him at night now,” she said.

Despite the reduced frequency, the couple continues to value this bonding time. “I am sad that our breastfeeding times have reduced because it has taken away those blocks of quality time,” Rachel admitted.

The couple also noticed other quirks related to their breastfeeding routine. Rachel revealed that her diet directly affects Alexander.

“If I eat something spicy, it also gives Alexander gas too,” she joked, pointing out one of the light-hearted consequences of their unique habit. Despite potential criticism, the couple remains unapologetic.

Rachel and Alexander emphasize that breastfeeding is not a sexual kink for them. “It started as Alexander helping me out when I was in pain, but it turned into more of an emotional bonding thing,” Rachel clarified.

The couple has spoken publicly about their breastfeeding journey, even appearing on TLC’s *My Strange Addiction*. They remain open and honest about their experiences.

Rachel stressed that their children are always a priority. She always ensures that her babies are fed first before Alexander drinks the remaining milk.

While the practice may be controversial, Rachel and Alexander have no regrets. “Nothing bad has come from it, so why should it be hidden?” Rachel questioned.

Rachel highlighted the physical benefits that Alexander experienced. “He felt more energized when drinking my milk, and said he even felt in a state of meditation while latched on,” she shared.

Though it may seem unconventional, the couple is proud of the bond it has helped them build. “It was really special and brought us closer than ever before,” Rachel said.
