Elon Musk, the tech magnate renowned for his ventures with Tesla and SpaceX, has long been a figure of public fascination. Beyond his professional achievements, Musk’s personal life, particularly his expanding family, has frequently captured media attention.
Recently, this spotlight intensified as his estranged daughter, Vivian Jenna Wilson, publicly reacted to a significant revelation. Musk’s family history has been a topic of interest for years, with his journey into fatherhood beginning in 2002.
His first wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, gave birth to their first child, Nevada Alexander, who tragically passed away at ten weeks old. The couple later had twins, Vivian and Griffin, in 2004, followed by triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian in 2006.
As years passed, Musk’s personal life saw further expansions. His relationship with musician Grimes resulted in three children: X Æ A-12, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus.
Additionally, Musk shares twins Strider and Azure, born in November 2021, and a daughter, Arcadia, born in February 2024, with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis. These additions illustrate the complex and highly public nature of Musk’s growing family.
Vivian Jenna Wilson’s relationship with her father has been notably strained. In 2022, at the age of 18, she legally changed her name and gender, severing ties with Musk by removing his last name.
Court documents from that period revealed her desire to completely distance herself, stating that she no longer wished to be related to Musk “in any way, shape, or form.” This move underscored deep-seated familial tensions and her pursuit of personal identity.
Musk has publicly addressed this estrangement, blaming what he describes as the “woke mind virus” influencing educational institutions. He claimed that certain academic environments played a role in their deteriorated relationship.
Despite her distance from Musk, Vivian occasionally reacts to his growing family. In February 2025, after reports surfaced about Musk’s 13th child with author Ashley St. Clair, she took to TikTok to express her thoughts.
She humorously remarked, “Wow, if I had a nickel for every time I found out I had half-siblings through Reddit, I’d have two nickels… which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that it’s happened twice, right?” Her reaction revealed the unconventional way she learned about new family members.
Her social media activity offers glimpses into her perspective on her father’s expanding family. While humorous, her posts highlight the complexities of being connected to such a public figure.
The latest revelation came when it was confirmed that Musk has welcomed another child. Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis announced on X (formerly Twitter) that she and Musk had another son.
She shared, “Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus.” Musk responded with a heart emoji, signaling his acknowledgment.
Upon discovering this, Vivian reacted once again on TikTok. She stitched her previous video, adding a close-up shot of her eye with the text, “This is already outdated nevermind.”
In the caption, she added, “Technically it was through Threads this time though.” She later clarified, “For clarity’s sake, I have found out through specifically Reddit twice—but through the internet in general seven times.”
