Most people change their appearance in small ways, but one person has taken transformation to a whole new level.
Tiamat Legion Medusa, once known as Richard Hernandez, has completely changed their body to look like a “genderless dragon.”
They have spent years modifying their appearance with tattoos, piercings, and surgeries to create a reptile-like look.
Tiamat was born in Bruni, Texas, and had a tough childhood.

When they were just five years old, their parents abandoned them in the wilderness.
In an interview, Tiamat shared, “I was left alone in the woods in Texas, the land of the western diamondback rattlesnake.”
Because of this, they say they feel connected to snakes and consider them their symbolic parents.
This experience played a big role in their decision to transform into a reptile-like creature.
Before their transformation, Tiamat had a completely different life.
They worked in finance and became a vice president at a big banking company.

But over time, they felt they could not live as their true self while working in the corporate world.
In the late 1990s, Tiamat was diagnosed with HIV, which changed their perspective on life.
They said, “I didn’t want to die looking like a human.”
This pushed them to leave their job and begin a new journey toward becoming a dragon-like being.
Tiamat has undergone many extreme body modifications to look more like a reptile.
They have removed their ears and nostrils, split their tongue, and implanted horn-like structures on their head.
Their skin is covered in tattoos designed to look like snake scales.

These modifications have cost them over $80,000, and they say they are not done yet.
For Tiamat, this is not just about appearance—it is a way to fully embrace their identity.
Tiamat identifies as non-binary and prefers to be called “it” instead of “he” or “she.”
They have had surgery to remove their genitals, further separating themselves from human gender norms.
They believe that being completely genderless matches their dragon identity.

People have different opinions about Tiamat’s transformation.
Some admire their courage to be themselves, while others criticize their extreme changes.
Despite this, Tiamat says they are happy and continue to share their story with the world.
They believe their journey is inspiring others to live as their true selves.
Tiamat says, “For me, my transformation is the greatest journey of my life.”
Now, Tiamat has surprised everyone by sharing old photos from before their transformation.
The images show them as they looked before becoming a dragon-like figure.

The contrast between the past and present is shocking, showing just how much they have changed.
People online have reacted with shock, amazement, and curiosity.
Tiamat’s transformation is still not complete.
They plan to continue modifying their body to match their vision of a reptilian creature.
Despite the challenges and criticism, Tiamat remains committed to living as their true self.

Their journey is a bold example of self-expression and identity, proving that some people will go to great lengths to become who they truly feel they are.
