In a recent interview with “Vanity Fair,” Selena shared a deeply emotional revelation. She disclosed that her health conditions prevent her from being able to carry her own children.

“I haven’t ever said this,” Selena said in the interview. “But I unfortunately can’t carry my own children.”
The artist shared that her health complications pose risks to both her own life and that of her unborn child. “I have a lot of medical issues that would put my life and the baby’s in jeopardy,” she said.
Selena acknowledged that this was a challenging journey to come to terms with. “That was something I had to grieve for a while,” she shared.
The announcement was a devastating blow for a woman who had envisioned starting her own family. “It’s not necessarily the way I envisioned it,” Selena explained.
“I thought it would happen the way it happens for everyone,” she continued. Amidst the challenges, Selena continues to hold onto hope.
She conveyed appreciation for modern options accessible to women who cannot bear children. She is seriously considering surrogacy and adoption options.
“I find it a blessing that there are wonderful people willing to do surrogacy or adoption,” she said. Selena continues to express a hopeful outlook regarding her future prospects.

“I’m excited for what that journey will look like, but it’ll look a little different,” she said. “At the end of the day, I don’t care. It’ll be mine. It’ll be my baby.”
