JoJo Siwa Sparks Online Debate After Revealing New Identity

It started with a whisper in the Celebrity Big Brother house, but JoJo Siwa’s latest revelation has echoed far beyond the walls of the ITV reality show.

The 21-year-old entertainer, known for her vibrant personality and candid nature, opened up about her evolving journey with s*xuality a conversation that’s since gone viral across fan forums and media outlets alike.

In a quiet moment following a dramatic triple eviction that saw the exit of Patsy Palmer, Angellica Bell, and Ella Rae Wise, JoJo confided in RuPaul’s Drag Race UK winner Danny Beard.

“I feel so qu*er,” she told Danny during a bedroom chat. “I think I’ve always told myself I’m a l*sbian… but being here, I’ve realised I’m not a l*sbian. I’m qu*er.”

Danny responded warmly,

“I’m qu*er!” as the two embraced and laughed about the label swap. “I’ve dropped the L and gone to the Q baby!” JoJo added playfully. “That’s what I love about s*xuality.”

The confession has stirred widespread reaction some celebratory, some skeptical especially as JoJo’s close friendship with fellow housemate Chris Hughes has raised eyebrows.

Fans have questioned their tactile connection, often spotted cuddling, giggling in bed, and sharing meaningful conversations on air. Chris even admitted he’d kiss JoJo if given the chance, to which she cheekily replied, “Sucks to be you!”

But while viewers speculate over the nature of their relationship, JoJo’s partner Kath Ebbs, an Australian content creator and actor, has found herself at the center of online attacks.

Trolls have accused JoJo of “cheating” with Chris, prompting Kath to disable Instagram comments and publicly slam former housemate Mickey Rourke for his homophobic remarks toward JoJo, which eventually led to his removal from the house.

Rourke’s comments included shocking claims such as “you won’t be g*y anymore after four days with me,” and referring to JoJo with slurs before being summoned to the diary room and ultimately removed from the show.

JoJo, however, held her ground. “I can guarantee I’ll still be g*y and in a happy relationship,” she fired back in one now viral clip.

Before entering the house, JoJo had described her relationship with Kath as “very mature,” saying on the We Need To Talk podcast, “I just trust them beyond trust.”

She also shared her dream of becoming a mum, saying she’s had a maternal instinct since the age of 12. “I just want to have babies,” she said.

Her fluid approach to s*xuality isn’t new. JoJo previously came out as pans*xual in 2021, but has since used labels like g*y and l*sbian interchangeably.

Still, her time in the CBB house seems to have brought clarity.

“I’ve met a lot of people in my life who are nonbinary, and that’s who I feel most like,” she revealed in another intimate chat. “It’s confusing, but that’s probably why we were talking about it last night.”

As conversations around gender identity and s*xual orientation continue to evolve in mainstream media, JoJo’s openness has been both praised and questioned but undeniably, she’s helped bring those conversations to the forefront.

“It’s something I’m still figuring out,” she told Danny Beard, “but I’m not afraid to say it out loud anymore.”
