A former Miss Finland has spoken out after claiming she was thrown out of a restaurant for wearing what staff deemed an “inappropriate” outfit.
Erika Helin gained the 2018 Miss Finland title yet later in an Instagram post she detailed her disbelief and disappointment about her encounter at a Helsinki restaurant.
The [pink] heart-print bralette combined with a black tiered mini skirt and heels were the selected outfit when the 28-year-old model and social media influencer left her house.
Her night switched direction at the unknown restaurant bar where she spent time with friends.

The security guard appeared while Erika was already inside the establishment late into the night.
Her 116,000 Instagram followers read her account about the guard suddenly ordering her to depart.
Calling him a “jerk,” Erika said she was “dragged out of the bar” and too stunned to respond as he loudly criticized her outfit.
She noted that the guard charged her with violating an existing restaurant dress code while she remembered the worker never mentioned any restrictions at the time of her entrance.
Erika maintained that she had nothing against her outfit as she would have switched clothes if someone had informed her beforehand.

“In my opinion, it is contradictory to even take a customer in if the outfit is not suitable,” she wrote on her Instagram Stories.
The model added that it felt unfair to be judged for simply showing skin and said it was “sad” how people still view the female body as something inappropriate.
Her point emphasized how distressing it was that body parts naturally regarded as indecent generate various responses from others.
Erika spends her time between Finland and another country where she observes that social standards for clothing and dress code practices remain less restrictive than in Finland.

She said she felt “disrespected” by the entire experience and called the restaurant’s manager afterward to explain how the situation could have been handled better.
She aimed to prevent such demanding behavior from happening to other people in the future.
Erika also posted pictures of the outfit on her Instagram feed, referring to the security guard as a “misogynist” in her caption.
Her images stirred an intense dialogue among users who backed her version while multiple others supported the restaurant.

“It looks more like a bikini top,” one user commented. The security staff would not permit entry with that outfit to a bar because it seemed insufficiently covered.
The outfit works great for beach visits yet remains inappropriate when visiting a restaurant according to the additional comment.
Various commenters came forward to defend her confidence and stated that the communication issue originated from the venue itself.
“You’re gorgeous, smart, and clever. A user advised her to ignore negative comments that tried to pull her down.

Surprisingly to her fans the security guard physically expelled her from the restaurant as she had received no notice about dress code restrictions.
This incident went viral prompting thousands to question whether Erika wore an outfit too provocative or if her real problem stemmed from the security guards treatment of her.
