White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has captured hearts and headlines after a candid photo of her working while feeding her baby went viral just days before Mother’s Day.
The image, shared by senior Trump aide Margo Martin, shows the 27-year-old press secretary multitasking in the most relatable way.
With her right hand, she types away at her desk. In her left arm, she cradles her nine-month-old son Niko.
Martin posted the now iconic shot on X with the caption:
“Walked in to @PressSec typing with one hand, and feeding her son with the other. Super Mom!”

Leavitt is no stranger to high pressure roles. She began her political career as a White House intern during President Donald Trump’s first term, later joining Kayleigh McEnany’s press team.
Now, she’s made history as the youngest press secretary to ever serve in the White House.
Despite her meteoric rise, Leavitt has remained open about the challenges of juggling motherhood and politics. Speaking with the Christian Broadcasting Network, she admitted:
“I think every working mother understands the demands. No matter where you are, what you’re doing, there is a sense of guilt.”
She added,
“I try to make it home for bedtime as much as I can throughout the week. I spend every second that I possibly can with my son when I’m home.”
Married in January 2025 to 59 year old real estate developer Nicholas Riccio, Leavitt’s personal life has also drawn public interest. The couple, who share a 32 year age gap, welcomed Niko just months before Trump’s second inauguration.
Addressing the attention, Leavitt said,
“He’s my best friend and my rock… He’s built a successful business, and now he’s fully supportive of me building my success in my career.”
While critics have questioned whether the photo was staged for political appeal, supporters argue it’s just a glimpse into Leavitt’s reality, one that resonates with millions of working mothers.
