South Park creator reacts after White House blasts episode over Trump joke

South Park co creator Trey Parker kept his response brief but memorable when asked about the uproar surrounding the show’s newest episode.

Standing on stage at San Diego Comic Con International during a Comedy Central animation panel, Parker simply said, “We’re terribly sorry,” before holding a long deadpan stare that drew laughs from the audience.

Behind the scenes there had been pushback from producers over one of the most controversial parts of the episode. Parker explained,

“They said ‘OK, but we’re gonna blur the penis’ and I said ‘No you’re not gonna blur the penis.”

Matt Stone added that they decided to give the penis eyes, turning it into a character instead of hiding it. This creative choice became one of many moments that defined the episode’s unapologetic tone.

The season 27 premiere did not hold back. It featured a scene where Trump was completely naked climbing into bed with Satan. The demon dismissed his advances while pointing out his small size, leaving viewers stunned at just how far the show was willing to go.

Later, a parody style public service announcement showed Trump wandering naked through a desert while a voiceover declared,

“Trump: His penis is teeny tiny, but his love for us is large.”

The White House issued an unusually sharp statement after the episode aired. Assistant Press Secretary Taylor Rogers criticized what he called the left’s hypocrisy, saying,

“The Left’s hypocrisy truly has no end for years, they have come after South Park for what they labeled as ‘offense’ content, but suddenly they are praising the show.”

Rogers then turned his attention to the series itself, saying,

“Just like the creators of South Park, the Left has no authentic or original content, which is why their popularity continues to hit record lows. This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”

He ended the statement by praising Trump’s record, adding,

“President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history and no fourth rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”

Despite the criticism, fans flooded social media calling the episode one of the boldest in years. Many said it reminded them why the show has always been known for testing limits, with one fan writing,

“This is the ballsiest thing they’ve ever done.”

By the time the credits rolled, the reason for the uproar was clear. South Park’s creators chose to portray Donald Trump completely naked with a photorealistic depiction of his penis as he tried to seduce Satan. The scene shocked viewers, ignited political backlash, and once again proved that South Park has no intention of softening its edge.
