Tammy Slaton has stunned fans with her latest transformation photos, revealing a striking new version of herself that few could have imagined when her journey first began.
The 1000-Lb Sisters star has spent years documenting her weight loss battle on the TLC reality series, alongside her sister Amy. When the show began in 2020, the sisters had a combined weight of over 1,000 pounds.
At her heaviest, Tammy weighed 725 pounds, relying on oxygen support and a wheelchair for mobility. Her health struggles were severe, and her addiction to food often landed her in rehabilitation centers.
Her journey has been anything but easy. Tammy also suffered a heartbreaking personal loss when her husband, Caleb Willingham, died in 2023 at just 40 years old.
Despite the emotional pain and physical hardships, Tammy kept going.
After years of setbacks, Tammy finally reached a point where she was eligible for bariatric surgery, which became the first major step toward reclaiming her life.
But what has truly shocked fans is not just that she lost weight, but how much she lost.
Speaking recently with the Ezell Film Company, Tammy revealed the staggering number.
“I’ve lost around 540 pounds from my heaviest to now,”
“I’ve basically lost three whole versions of myself.”
The reality TV star said she still finds it hard to believe when she sees her new photos.
“I see pictures of me now and I think, ‘Wow’,” she admitted.
Her transformation didn’t come without struggle. Tammy explained how she originally needed to lose just 30 pounds for surgery, but after gaining 100 pounds during the Covid-19 lockdowns, she had to shed 130 pounds instead.
Through determination, Tammy managed to hit her target and has never looked back.
She recently underwent skin removal surgery, a procedure that had her more anxious than the original bariatric surgery.
“I was really nervous for the skin removal surgery because I was really just kind of afraid of how I’m gonna feel looking at myself without the belly there,”
“The night before my surgery, I was, like, seriously freaking terrified. I was even more nervous about having skin removal surgery than I was for the [sleeve gastrectomy] surgery because they’re actually cutting the whole belly!”
But Tammy’s fears quickly faded after the surgery went better than expected.
“I surprised the doctors with how well my body was healing. I ended up coming home from Pittsburgh, like, four days early,” she added.
Her latest TikTok videos showcase the results, leaving fans speechless over the dramatic transformation.
What began as a fight for survival has turned into one of the most inspiring journeys reality TV has seen. Tammy Slaton didn’t just lose weight.
