The author E.A. Hanks formerly known as Elizabeth Anne Hanks the daughter of Tom Hanks has written her memoir where she discusses her unsettling childhood experiences.
The upcoming publication “The 10: A Memoir of Family and the Open Road” explores the secretive reality of the well-esteemed Hanks household starting from April 8.
As the daughter of Tom Hanks and his first wife Samantha Lewes who was born in 1982 E.A. gives readers an appalling view of her family’s life before her father married Rita Wilson.

Tom Hanks along with his first wife Samantha Lewes divorced in 1985. This breakup also ended their parenthood of actor Colin Hanks. Samantha moved both E.A. and Colin from Los Angeles to Sacramento following the divorce with Tom without sharing his location.
According to E.A. the unplanned relocation forced her father to start searching for them. โMy dad came to pick us up from school, and we’re not there. And it turns out we haven’t been there for two weeks, and he has to track us down,โ she revealed, according to Fox News.

E.A. spent her childhood years from 5 to 14 within Sacramento residence with her mother but she returned to her father’s home only during weekends and summers. The outside appearance of their suburban home by white columns and a backyard swimming pool and horses on the walls screened over a miserable situation.
People obtained excerpts which indicated that “Dog waste filled the yard to point where walking became impossible while smoke permeated the house alongside spoilt and rotten food in the refrigerator.” wrote E.A. Food in the refrigerator was either plain empty or loaded up with rotten meals that passed their expiration dates.

The writer describes her mother Samantha Lewes who died from cancer in 2002 as someone who loved her family deeply but suffered from emotional instability. The author believes her mother suffered from untreated bipolar disorder because she displayed ongoing paranoia and religious preoccupation as well as unpredictable conduct patterns.
โMy mother spent more and more time in her big four-poster bed, poring over the Bible,โ she wrote.
Eventually, that emotional chaos escalated. โOne night, her emotional violence became physical violence,โ E.A. revealed, marking a life-altering moment that led to her moving to Los Angeles to live with her father and stepmother.

The disorderly happenings extended beyond these points.
A life-altering phone call reached her during high school senior year because it notified her that her mother was dying. Contrary to the other difficulties she experienced growing up she endured yet another weighty moment in her life alongside fear and instability.
The memoir shares a profound reflection when E.A. describes her adult solo travel of six months that covered Interstate 10. She traveled the same path that once linked her with her mother during a trip in the past.

The memoir aims to understand the love relationship between trauma and resilience which characterised her teenage years according to the author. She maintains benevolence during her discourse as she acknowledges the tough times found amidst her mother’s difficult situation.
Hollywood beloved actor Tom Hanks continues to remain silent about the memoir that has caught public attention.

When The 10 reaches bookstore shelves readers will observe a hidden reality of the Hanks family which richly portrays the combination of celebrity life with domestic quietness.
