In a series of recent social media posts, Chianti Means, a 33-year-old mother from New York, opened a window into her heartbreak and turmoil over the past month.
Known by the name “Diamond Scott” on Facebook, Chianti shared a glimpse of the struggles she faced following her separation from her daughter’s father.
Despite her role as a domestic violence counselor, Means’s posts reflected a deep sense of frustration, loneliness, and overwhelming despair.
Her words in these posts left friends and family with a glimpse of her emotional struggle, though the full depth of her pain remained hidden.

On October 1, she took to Facebook to express her longing, writing, “Everyone please leave me alone I’m in love with my daughter’s father. I want my family back. Respectfully Idgaf what I said about him before or what anyone else thinks.”
The post revealed an intense desire to reunite with her ex-partner, indicating that she still harbored deep feelings for him.
In another message, she confided, “I wish someone would love me because the man that’s supposed to does not,” signaling her heartbreak over the fractured relationship.
In the weeks leading up to her final posts, Means also wrote about her struggles with inner peace and personal growth.
She mentioned a determination to “become a calm woman” amid emotions of “irritation, anger, sadness, and rage,” showing her efforts to manage the heavy toll these feelings had taken on her well-being.

In one candid post, Means responded to a question about why her relationship ended, stating, “Cause I was a dumb a** pregnant b**** who swore up & down I ain’t want him.”
Her words painted a vivid picture of regret, illustrating the difficult emotional journey she was navigating.
Despite the heartbreaking nature of her posts, police have confirmed that her ex-partner is not a suspect in what followed.
Close friends, unaware of the depth of Means’s despair, were left shocked as the posts continued to reflect an intense emotional struggle.
Monday night at Niagara Falls’ Luna Island, Means and her two young children, 9-year-old Roman Rossman and 5-month-old Mecca Means, were last seen.

Heartbreakingly, authorities report that Means intentionally stepped over a safety guardrail with her children.
According to New York State Police spokesperson James O’Callaghan, the presence of multiple security measures makes it unlikely they “just stumbled in.”
Authorities have since deemed the incident “intentional,” with no foul play or third-party involvement suspected.
Rescue efforts were launched but tragically yielded no results, confirming the devastating outcome. As authorities continue their search, social media has filled with tributes to Means and her children.
One close friend, Kayshawna Morgane, expressed her grief, writing, “I have been speechless and crying and couldn’t sleep at all. My heart is broken. Mental health is no joke.”

Another friend, Mich Molina, added, “I am literally sick to my stomach… Just know her and her children are dearly loved by me and my children.”
As investigators work toward closure, Chianti Means’s final messages stand as a somber reminder of the unseen battles many face, leaving a community heartbroken by an unfathomable loss.
